Visual Control Device for Checking Electronic Signatures, and Associated Use

The present invention concerns a device for controlling an electronic signature based on a comparison between first and second images, comprising a first service (1) and a second service (2). According to the invention, said first service is capable of generating said first image (5) from a signature (8) and a public key (9), said second service is capable of generating a second image (6) from a signed item of information (7); and said comparison is made with regard to the equality of said images, such that a user is capable of visually checking a signature. Moreover, the device comprises a main archive service that stores the signatures, public keys and signed items of information. The invention advantageously concerns the use of the visual control device in a collaborative work tool ensuring the tracability and the probative value of the data.
