Abstract : Tackling with sustainable development within the energy domain involves different levels of partly complementary objectives : energy effectiveness, efficiency, management and sustainability. Where do we stand in french-speaking ergonomics and ergonomic psychology ? What paths should we pursue and open ? Our field reveals a fruitful heritage for addressing efficiency, energy management and perhaps the stronger sustainability. But these three objectives also challenge our ability to make our own ethics, theories, methods and technologies evolve within our field (e.g. green ergonomics, ergoecology) and through a dialogue with other disciplines. For example, we could re-evaluate the way we instanciate « Nature » within our researches and interventions. We might also investigate new types of organizations (e.g. regional territories) and actors (e.g. strategic decision) involved in the overall energy transition.
