A new semi-quantitative scratch-test method to assess the adhesion of gold nanoparticles on glass for ultrasensitive chemical and biochemical sensors

Résumé

Ultrasensitive chemical and biochemical sensors are based on nanostructured gold surfaces on glass with good surface-enhanced Raman scattering measurement properties and enough good adhesion properties between gold and glass. In this paper, the scratch test is used in a new way to assess the critical load which takes off dashed gold lines on a glass substrate with different adhesion layers.
