Standardisation des échanges de modèles géométriques 3D paramétrés non figés: Dernières évolutions de la norme STEP

Abstract : The paper deals with the last developments of the STEP standard in the field of geometric data exchanges. First, it introduces the stakes and the objectives of STEP standard. Second, it presents the current designer's needs as regards the neutral exchanges of CAD models and the new STEP parts under development (as Draft International Standard) which fulfill these needs. The paper details the carried out case study in order to test the STEP parts relating to the data exchanges of sketch including parametrized geometry and constraints. Last, it concludes on the efficiency of these STEP parts as regards exchanges of parameterized 3D models.
